You, Me and Dougie is an musical trio comprised of Anthony Doria (Acousitc Guitar/Vocals) and Roy Butler (Bass Guitar) and Leighton Dennis (Drums/Percussion). They currently have a set list of 40-50 songs consisting of both covered songs such as “Suck My Kiss” (Red Hot Chili Peppers), “My Stoney Baby” (311) and “Sober” (Tool) among many others. The group also boasts a nice selection of original songs such as “She Loves Me” and “Dirty” that grasp your attention even if it’s the first time you’ve been to a show. Their choppy percussive style enables them to take on songs that normal acoustic groups are unable to reproduce and their intensity on stage makes them very engaging and an act not to miss.
Who’s Dougie? If you have been to a UMD show and enjoyed yourself…..YOU ARE! On July 11th, 2010 Bassist Roy Butler and upside down Acoustic Guitar player Anthony Doria began jamming in the living room of Butler’s townhouse. On July 24th, 2011, the duo played their first gig but did not have a name yet. As they grew more popular they came to realize that their best performances always included the crowd singing their lungs out with lead vocalist Doria. One night, Butler remarked, “I can’t believe this all started with just you and me.” Doria replied, “Yah, but now it’s grown into You, Me and….. Dougie” nicknaming the ever gracious and extremely fun fans of the group while simultaneously founding the band’s name. With the addition of drummer Brian Pincus in Feb of 2013, the band is beginning to make a name for itself in the St. Louis area playing both huge cover shows as well as doling out an occasional exciting original music performance. With each gig, a new group of “Dougies” share unforgettable music moments as they come together for a night of good music, great partying and camaraderie. So if you stopped by this page after enjoying your first “You, Me and Dougie” show….then the answer to the first question is undoubtedly….YOU!
Music starts at 8:00 PM, no cover.
